‘Action Research in TESOL’
Guest Editors: Emily Edwards and Katherine Brandon
The 12th volume of University of Sydney Papers in TESOL, 2017 will be a special issue devoted to action research. This issue will focus on recent action research projects that have been carried out within the discipline of teaching English to speakers of other languages. Papers will cover topics relevant to students, teachers, pedagogy and practice explored through classroom-based action research, where the teacher is also the researcher. The University of Sydney Papers in TESOL is a peer-reviewed journal published by the TESOL Research Network in the Faculty of Education and Social Work at The University of Sydney, Australia.
Submission of papers
The University of Sydney Papers in TESOL invites submissions in which a previously unpublished research paper is provided on a specific issue of current relevance to teaching and learning ESOL that has been examined via action research. English language teachers, especially those undertaking postgraduate research studies, who have explored their practice through action research, are particularly encouraged to submit a paper. Papers may be sole authored, or co-authored with a colleague or supervisor.
Word length
Up to 8,000 words, including references and tables etc.
