ANNOUNCEMENT OF NEW AE E-TEACHER COURSES

Dear English Teachers,

 

The Regional English Language Office is seeking teachers and educators who are interested in participating in an Online Professional Development Course.

 

We are offering scholarships for two 6-week, online university-level courses in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) developed by World Learning.  ELT professionals who meet the criteria listed below are invited to apply.  Up to 50 scholarships will be awarded – 25 for each course.

 

Application Deadline: 8:00 AM, Monday, February 10, 2017

 

What courses are available?

 

  • Applied Critical Thinking: Integrating Critical Thinking Skills into the Exploration of Culture in an EFL Setting (March 8 – April 11, 2017; 6 weeks)
  • Technology Enhanced Language Teaching (April 18 – May 30, 2017; 6 weeks)

 

Who can apply?

 

Candidates must:

  • Be dedicated and promise to complete the course (each course is valued at $500 per participant and so we are looking only for serious candidates)
  • Be an English language professional
  • Have strong English language reading and writing skills (minimum 525 TOEFL, 70 iBT, or CEFR B2)
  • Be a citizen of Vietnam, Cambodia or Laos
  • Have regular and reliable access to high-speed internet connection
  • Be able to spend 10 to 12 hours online each week for the duration of the 8-week course
